Interior vs exterior valet: which do you need?

When you book a valet you'll usually choose between interior, exterior, or a full valet that covers both. Here's what each includes so you can pick the right one for how your car looks right now.

What's in an interior valet?

An interior valet focuses on the cabin: a full vacuum of seats, carpets, mats and boot; wiping and conditioning the dashboard, console, doors and trim; cleaning interior glass and vents; and a light deodorise. Choose it when the outside is fine but the inside has picked up dust, crumbs, pet hair or odours.

What's in an exterior valet?

An exterior valet is all about the paint and wheels: a snow-foam pre-wash, a safe two-bucket hand wash, wheels and tyres cleaned and dressed, glass cleaned, a streak-free dry and a protective wax or sealant. Choose it when the cabin is clean but the bodywork is dirty, dull or covered in traffic film.

When to choose a full valet

A full valet combines both and is usually the best value — most cars that need one area cleaned could do with the other too. It's the right call before a long trip, after winter, when family or pets have taken their toll, or before selling.
